Andrew has a little lamb...

I will talk a bit about the kids but for the moment I will talk of my rock star hubby. Well, maybe not a rock star yet, but just give him time. Rolling Stone here we come!

So for Fathers Day my husband really really wanted a guitar. He got it stuck in his head that this was something he HAD to have. Well being a stay at home Mom I really don't have an income. I wish I got paid every time one of my lovies talked back to me or said "NO!" Let me tell you I would be the main bread winner in this family then! So anyway we decided to combine it as a Fathers day and birthday present with him chipping in a bit. So last week his guitar arrived. It is quite pretty and watching him hold it, well what girl doesn't like to get a little nookie from a guitar wielding man?

The other night I was upstairs watching bad reality TV while he was downstairs playing around with his new love. All of sudden he starts screaming "I'm a rock star! Tamara Tamara come here listen to this!" So I head down the stairs to the tune of him playing 'Mary had a Little lamb' I had to giggle it really was about the cutest thing ever. I tried to get him to play it on video but he was afraid everyone at work would tease him. (You guys would NEVER do that!) So instead I took pictures of him looking all mighty with his new lady. He has yet to name her but to me she shall be known as lamb chops!

Leia is doing real well at Miss Shelley's and hasn't cried once when we have dropped her off. When school is mentioned she babbles over and over the name "Bea bea" this would be Bennett. Miss Shelley's son. I think she has a crush. Sometimes it makes me sad that she never seems excited to see me come pick her up but I realize this is a good thing. It means she really loves it there and that's exactly what I want. She is also able to say 'Shelley' and 'Jen' which doesn't sound like their names but we know what she is saying. Ah my little girl getting big so fast!

Adora is still boy crazy and annoying at times as I am sure all teens are. I took her out last night for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, just the two of us. It was nice and I found her stories to be amusing. Amusing, as in did I find this stuff to be so awesome when I was a teen? She really does boggle my mind. The teen years are very much a roller coaster and I am not looking forward to going through them again. I love Adora very much and am ready to see what kind of adult she is going to be.

I will trade you my teen for a cow and maybe a goat. Goats are cute!

Adora, my 13 year old daughter. They really should call the teen years hell on earth. My personal hell would to spend eternity with nothing but teens. I think I will go find God now.

Let me give you some background on my daughter. I had her myself when I was just a teen. 17 to be exact. You know the age where you think you know EVERYTHING! Well guess what, I knew jack squat. I came to realize this when I was almost 19. I had NO family support, no high school education, no money and I was selfish(whoever heard of a selfish teen?) and was unable to care for her in anyway. So her Fathers Parents took her for me and raised her till she was 11 at which time she came to live with her now educated, money having, unselfish Mother (that's me) and step Father.

The 2 and a half years she has been here have been quite the roller coaster with way more downs then ups. She is HIGHLY manipulative and will lie about everything! Yeah, I know most teens lie but she lies about the obvious and will lie even when the truth sounds better. I am telling you right now, if you do not own a teen run out and get one. FAST like a bunny. Needless to stay I am stressed most the time and don't know how to deal with some of the things she does. I decided this week I have to start having Consequences for every wrong act she does. I have tried the "oh, that's not so bad I will let it slide." Wrong you give this chica a inch she will take a mile. Its gonna be tough but I think in the long run it will work out. When living with her grandparents she had NO rules so its natural for her to push against them now that she has them.

Anyway that's my second child and plan to hear, or read, lots of venting posts here. Because damn this lady makes me pissy!

Oh, she got her period today and feels that gives her even more reason to act like a snot!

My first post..

I have a LJ but would like to use this to just post about my kiddos. Leave all the other crap over there. Let you all know now I am a horrid writer and speller!

My Leia babe started preschool today and did a amazing job at drop off . I have had no call to come pick up a screamin fit throwing kid yet! Fingers crossed that doesn't happen. It was tough to leave her even though I know this is good for her. The easy part was knowing she is in a great place, as the lady who runs it is a dear friend of mine. She will have a amazing time there!

Milestones Leia has reached-

2 word sentences- "NO Momma or NO Daddy" (with lots of flailing around and foam at the mouth)

Lots of climbing which caused my first heart attack. Oh Milestones!

Saying Adoras name. "Doe Doe"

saying spoon - poon

Elmo. (she likes to repeat his name over and over again. Stab me in the ear please!)

Jumping lots and lots of jumping.
First swim lesson on Sunday. Can we all say "Great Idea!!" This consisted of lots of screaming, in my ear, and pulling of hair, my hair.

I'm sure there are other new things she has started doing. She says lots of name and makes lots of animal noises. She would get the gold medal in fit throwing without a doubt. I used to think it was cute when she would have one of her epic fits. Now its just LOUD and ANNOYING!
Picture is from Meet and Greet day at her school on Friday.

That's all she wrote!
